Working as a Metaverse Weekly Report “Experienced Increased Workload and Frustration”

Facebook CEO Mark Zuckerberg believes in the Palmitaverse, a web model for interacting with people and content in virtual reality. He trusted her so much that he changed his name to Mehta. Oculus seems to be erasing the existing brand. There is only one problem. Virtual reality remains unrealistic in most applications other than gaming and watching video content.VR support isn’t perfect, new report results released

A joint research team from the Universities of Coburg, Cambridge, Primuska and Microsoft Research has carried out the longest and largest ‘working with virtual reality’ experiment. Participants worked 40 hours a week in virtual reality while taking 16 tests. We use shippable products. I configured the Meta Quest 2 headset and Logitech K830 keyboard environment using the trackpad. Participants performed the same tasks in an existing computing environment equipped with a keyboard and trackpad.

The results did not deviate significantly from expectations. Participants reported a 35% increase in their workload, a 42% increase in feeling depressed, and an 11% and 48% increase in anxiety and eyestrain, respectively. Participants’ self-rated productivity dropped by 16%, and their quality of life dropped by 20%. Two participants dropped out on the first day of testing. While some factors decreased slightly with continued exposure to VR work environments, the researchers concluded that VR scored significantly lower in the overall rating.

There are a few things to consider. The experimental environment is not an ideal virtual reality environment, but is built on current audience levels, the researchers said. The Meta Quest 2 is a well-received head-mounted display on the market. However, better VR headsets with higher resolutions, wider fields of view, and better reflections of human vision are also on the market. Even when applied strictly to productivity tasks, virtual reality environments definitely have their advantages. Ability to customize user settings and display large amounts of data beyond the actual display limits.

However, the overall tone of the report was surprisingly negative. Participants were different from people who had never used VR and experienced people, but the data showed that when VR was used seriously, both productivity and comfort decreased. 11% of participants were unable to devote a full day to the VR task and were unable to continue the test. This is 1 out of 9.

However, a typical researcher might advise against jumping to conclusions based on research reports alone. However, I’m not a scientist, so the meta-desire and metaverse of hundreds or tens of millions of people spending most of their daily lives and work in virtual reality is arguably paranoid. The same goes for improvements in technology and comfort. The VR game that Oculus showed me a decade ago was a fun and unique experience, but it’s still a little intimidating to work in a VR environment.
